Fungicide "Previkur" - a remedy for diseases for vegetables and flowers
"Previkur Energy" is a systemic fungicide, created by the famous German company "Bayer" to protect vegetable and flower crops from fungal diseases. The drug not only protects plants from root rot and phytophthora, but also stimulates their growth, strengthens immunity, and supports fruiting.
Composition of the preparation and general information
Country and company producing the drug | Bayer CropScience, Germany. |
Price category | 10 ml - 70 rubles, 20 ml - 224 rubles, 60 ml - 367, 1 l - 3299 rubles. |
Active ingredients | Propamocarb hydrochloride (530 g / l), fosethyl aluminum (310 g / l). |
The active substances through the roots and leaves penetrate into the cells of pathogens, destroy the membranes of fungi, stop the formation of spores, and also enhance the protective reaction of the plant. | |
Appointment | Fight against root rot, peronosporosis, late blight |
Hazard Class | Previkur is classified as a moderately hazardous drug (3rd class). During the processing period of years, bees should be limited to a radius of 3 km. It is forbidden to spray the drug over fish ponds. |
What plants is it used on | It is used for watering and spraying vegetable crops grown in greenhouses or open field, garden and indoor flowers. |
Resistance | The risk of developing resistance of pathogens to the action of the active ingredients of the drug is very small. However, treatment with "Previkur" should be alternated with other fungicides. |
Speed of action | Begins to act 3-4 hours after treatment. |
Protection period after processing | From 14 to 21 days - depending on the weather and the degree of damage. |
Waiting period | 1 day |
Additional effects | not |
Combination with other means | The drug can be combined with other pesticides that do not contain alkaline substances. "Previkur" is not recommended to be used together with fertilizers. |
Previkur Energy has garnered many positive reviews from gardeners using it to kill a specific pathogen. The drug is instantly absorbed by the roots and leaves of the plant, and just as quickly spreads through the tissues. At the point of contact, the protective effect begins within 20–30 minutes. This is very convenient, as you do not have to worry that a not too cheap product will wash away with rain.
Instructions for use
Means for protection and stimulation of plant growth "Previkur" are produced in the form of a water-soluble pinkish concentrate. For private gardeners, small packages of 10, 20 and 60 ml are more suitable, for large farms - plastic cans of 12 liters.
How to dilute the concentrate?
Before starting the treatment of plants, it is necessary to prepare a working solution, while it is necessary to follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer in the leaflet for the preparation.
- If you need to heal indoor flowers, such as an orchid, you will need very little solution. In this case, 3 ml of fungicide is taken for 2 liters of settled water.
- For irrigation and spraying of cultivated plantations in a greenhouse and open ground, the contents of a 30 ml ampoule are diluted in 20 liters of water.
In order for the drug to completely and evenly dissolve, the concentrate is poured into a small container with water, for example, a half-liter jar, and mixed thoroughly. Only then add water to the specified volume.
The working solution is not stored for a long time, therefore it must be prepared immediately before processing.
When processing, it is necessary to take into account the consumption rate of the solution depending on the plant variety:
Processed crop | Fungicide rationing | Number and method of treatments |
---|---|---|
Cucumbers in the greenhouse and open field | 20 ml per 1 are | 2 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks. Watering. |
Melons | 20 ml per 1 are | 2 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks. Watering. |
Potted, flower and decorative crops | 2 ml per 1 sq. m | 2-3 treatments with an interval of 2 weeks. Watering, spraying. |
Watermelons, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers | 30 ml per 1 are | 2 treatments at intervals of 2 weeks. Spraying. |
When to process?
Before treating the plantation with "Previkur", you need to look at the weather report and make sure that rain is not expected in the near future. Watering and spraying plants with a fungicide is carried out in dry, calm weather at the end of the day. In this case, the air temperature should be in the range from +15 to + 25 ° С.
Stems and leaves affected by the disease are carefully sprayed, trying to process each part of the plant. Water at the root and around the seedling (it is better to combine with the main watering).
If necessary, fungicide treatment can be carried out no more than 5 times per season, maintaining an interval of 14 days.
Application for seedlings
"Previkur" is used for seedlings as a prophylactic agent against root rot and fungal infections. The soil with the planted seeds is spilled with a working solution prepared as described above. After 14 days, repeated disinfection is carried out.
Security measures
"Previkur Energy" belongs to the 3rd class of hazard. Despite the fact that no cases of human poisoning have been described, the drug can cause mild irritation if it comes into contact with the skin and mucous membranes. Therefore, when applying the fungicide, you must use protective gloves, a respirator or gauze bandage, glasses.
If you feel nausea, headache, or dizziness, leave the contaminated area immediately.
If the fungicide gets on the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, immediately rinse these areas of the body with plenty of water.
If the solution is accidentally swallowed, it is necessary to rinse the stomach by drinking several glasses of water, take activated charcoal, and then consult a doctor.
It is forbidden to drain the remains of the working solution into water bodies or sewers. Do not reuse containers from the drug.
The remaining chemical is sprinkled with sand or earth and placed in containers for further disposal.
Shelf life is 2 years. The drug should be stored at temperatures from +5 to + 25 ° С out of the reach of children and animals, separately from food.
What can replace "Previkur"?
There are other chemicals that work in much the same way as Previcur. Here are some of the analogs:
- "Consento", KS - a new fungicide with systemic protective properties from Bayer. In addition to the protective effect, it has a therapeutic effect in the fight against late blight, alternaria, peronosporosis.
- Ridomil Gold - a combined fungicide against late blight for the protection of potatoes, vegetables and grapes. Manufacturer - "Syngenta".
- "Tattu" - Russian fungicide of contact-systemic action, which is considered a unique means of fighting against the "black leg" and alternariosis of tomatoes and potatoes.
What could go wrong?
Vegetable growers using the fungicide note the positive effect of the drug on the resistance of seedlings to rot, growth and formation of the root system. However, this is more evident in small areas: in pots, containers, boxes. When watering large open areas, the concentration of active substances decreases due to natural filtration in the soil, and it is not always possible to achieve the desired effect.
When processing potatoes from phytophthora, one must remember that "Previkur" will only help with mild infection, while the disease has not yet covered all parts of the plant. But even in this case, spraying with the drug must be extremely careful, since not all varieties react equally to this fungicide.
Before starting treatment, it is necessary to check the tolerance of the chemical on one plant. If after 2-3 days no yellow spots appear on the leaves, you can continue working on the entire area.
"Previkur Energy" can be used both for planting and at all other stages of vegetative growth of a plant to combat the spread of fungal diseases and bacterial infections. The main thing is to observe the dosage during dilution and the dosage regimen for the preparation.
