The plant is perennial, it is a small and low bush. The leaves are very dense and fleshy, resembling aloe in their structure. Sometimes adromiscus blooms with beautiful pink or white flowers. They can be of other shades, but this is extremely rare.

  • Comb. It is also very often called Kristatus. It is best to start with this plant, as it has a very unusual appearance. The size is small - only 15 centimeters high. You can plant it in small pots, it will take root there well and even bloom periodically. Leaves are dark green in color, about 5 centimeters long, wavy at the edges, and not straight, like most plants. The flowers are white with a green tint, and usually also have a pink border, which looks incredibly attractive.
  • Adromiscus Cooper. This houseplant has very short, dark green, spotted leaves (most of the spots are located closer to the top of the dense leaves). The inflorescences are very long, in the form of an ear. The flowers are white with purple edges.
  • Adromiscus Pelnitz. The plant is about 10 centimeters tall with light green and branched stems. The leaves expand towards the top. The shape is grooved, the edges rise above the middle. The inflorescences are very long - 40 centimeters each. At the same time, the flowers themselves do not differ in particular beauty, they are nondescript and dull.
  • Spotted. A very interesting look, its leaves are amazing with their beauty. They are oval and spotted. In this case, the spots are quite bright, purple in color. It seems that the plant was painted on purpose. Flowers are brick-colored and small in size.
  • Three-pistil. This species is somewhat similar to the previous one, only it has an even brighter color. Spots of a red-brown hue, cover the leaves on both sides, which gives them a charming look. Flowers on long brick-colored inflorescences.

Of course, in order for the plant to always look good, it must be properly cared for. In the case of adromiscus, this is not so difficult, you just need to follow some rules.

  • First of all, the plant must be provided with a sufficiently illuminated place. It should receive exactly the sunlight, natural light, so the pots are best placed on windowsills. In the warm season, they can be taken out on the balcony, but care must be taken to ensure that the leaves are not burnt if the sun is at its zenith.
  • The temperature at which Adromiscus is kept is no less important. In summer, it should be around 25-30 degrees. In winter - 10-15, but it should not fall below 7 degrees. If it is very hot in the apartment in winter, then the pots with the plant must be taken out into the fresh air. This is permissible if you have a glazed loggia at your disposal. You can also open windows briefly. The main thing is to make sure that the plant does not freeze, otherwise serious problems may arise with it.
  • Dry air is also good for keeping adromiscus - the plant does not have to be additionally sprayed with water, since it does not need it.
  • With watering, everything is also quite simple, since you do not have to moisten the soil every day.In warm weather - in spring and winter - it is necessary to water every time the soil dries out. By autumn, the amount of water should be reduced. In winter, it is extremely rare to water the plant, sometimes they refuse to water at all, if the temperature of the content is exactly what is needed. Soft water is used at room temperature. Do not use too cold water for irrigation, this can harm the plant.
  • Sometimes adromiscus needs to be fertilized, there is nothing difficult about it. Usual fertilizers for cactiwhich can be bought in specialized stores. The soil is fertilized once a month from March to September, that is, 6-7 months a year. You don't need to do this in cold weather.
  • The plant does not need a constant transplant. This is done only as needed. Small pots are enough for Adromiscus. You can use ready-made soil for cacti and succulents, it is just perfect. A good drainage layer must be laid at the bottom, this is an important condition for trouble-free plant growth.

The plant will take root without any problems in such conditions. In the future, transplanting will most likely not be required if the plant is planted in a pot of sufficient size.

It is necessary to pour water exclusively onto the surface of the soil; for this it is best to purchase a small watering can. If the plant does not have enough light, then it will look pale, the leaves in this case have an elongated shape.
