Oberon Rapid drug

General information about insectoacaricide "Oberon Rapid"

Country and company producing the drugThe drug is manufactured by the CropScience division of the German chemical concern Bayer. It is the world leader in crop protection innovations. In Russia, the eponymous Bayer CropScience receives permission for circulation. Representatives of Bayer CropScience have been established in half of the regions, including for the sale of anti-tick drugs. Names and addresses are on the Crop Science / Russia website.
Permission to useIn 2017, Bayer CropScience issued a Declaration of Conformity <...> with the requirements of GOST R 51247 to the content of active ingredients, moisture content, acidity and packaging by the Certification Body ANO TsKPPiS Moscow Research Institute of Agriculture.
Price category and packingThe cost of processing the drug according to the instructions for use may seem small, since the consumption is economical. However, only 1 liter vials are sold with a suspension concentrate (SC), diluted almost 500 times. And the price of such a bottle is significant even from Crop Science - almost 10 thousand rubles.
Substances acting on pestsOberon Rapid - two substances. In g / l, this is 228.6 spiromesifene and 11.4 abamectin. The first component is a product of chemical synthesis. The second is of biological nature, it is obtained on the basis of the fermentation of soil bacteria. Solubility is extremely low, therefore, finely dispersed suspensions are used.
AppointmentBoth substances are classified as insectoacaricides with both intestinal and contact effects.
Hazard ClassSpiromesifene is considered almost harmless to most insect species and, importantly, the substance is non-toxic to bees. Therefore, the Oberon Rapid insecticide was assigned the 3rd hazard class. However, abamectin has a class 2 for its effects on humans and a class 1 for bees.
What plants is it used onPhytotoxicity is not pronounced, so the agent can potentially be applied to any plants that are affected by sucking pests. However, in the permission of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia from 2016 there were only 4 crops:
• in the open field - an apple tree, affected by various ticks;
• in the same place - grapes, with ticks: grape, felt and spider webs;
· In protected ground - cucumbers and tomatoes affected by spider mites or whiteflies.
A year later, the grapes were removed from the list.
Speed and duration of actionSpiromesifene stops the fat metabolism of pests. As a result, they dry out, but not quickly - in 3-10 days. Moreover, the physiology of the processes is such that the males are not destroyed. The low speed and incompleteness of the action is compensated by abamectin, which blocks nerve impulses, quickly causing paralysis of insects. The developers called it the "knockdown effect".
ResistanceThe innovative composition of the drug eliminates resistance.
Protection period after processingThe agent applied to the leaves retains its protective effect for 3-4 weeks.
Waiting periodAccording to the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, from the moment of treatment from pests, it is enough to wait 3 days before starting work on open ground, as well as before mechanical treatments of all types. To carry out manual processing of greenhouses, it is enough to wait out the day.
Before harvesting, must pass:
· On apple trees - at least 40 days;
· In greenhouses - 3 days.
Additional effectsAdditional effects are not provided by the developers of the drug against mites and moths.
CombiningThe combination of the Oberon Rapid insecticide with other drugs is allowed: with pest control agents or, to enhance plant growth, with stimulants. However, "partners" should not have a strong alkaline reaction (this can be checked with litmus paper).

The shelf life of KS is not limited, however, diluted forms are not subject to storage.

Instructions for use against ticks and other sucking pests

Instructions for use are universal:

  • the manufacturer recommends a concentration of 0.07 ± 0.01% for work. Taking into account the substance content of 240 g / l, you should take 2.1–3.3 ml of COP to prepare 1 liter of working fluid;
  • KS is consumed in a volume of up to 0.5–0.8 liters per hectare of plantings;
  • processing is carried out by spraying on the leaves - on both sides until completely wetted;
  • double processing is allowed - at the stages of the ovaries and with an interval of 30–40 days;
  • if there are many pests, treatments are alternated with different means.

Security measures

The substances in the composition of the Oberon Rapid insecticide are not classified as hazardous by European directives, therefore they are officially approved for use.

Abamectin is more toxic to humans:

  • Poisoning is possible by skin contact or inhalation, not to mention ingestion.
  • Drops of the suspension may irritate the eyes when sprayed.

Therefore, when using the drug against ticks, protective equipment is required:

  • clothing that completely covers the skin;
  • gloves (at least thread);
  • glasses;
  • respirator or medical mask.

Both components of the product decompose in nature within a few months. However, they are toxic to fish and other aquatic life as well as worms. Therefore, it is unacceptable to drain the residues, especially the COP, into water bodies or onto the soil.

Illegal packaging of the drug Oberon

Prevention of possible errors

To get the expected effect of pest control, it is important to consider a number of points:

  • The Oberon Rapid insecticide requires professional handling and is prohibited by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for use in personal subsidiary plots.
  • It is forbidden to use the agent using aviation.
  • You need to beware of sales representatives who are not allowed to sell the drug.
  • Products offered by some companies smaller than 1 liter, packaging cannot guarantee quality and is illegal.
  • Beware of counterfeits. For example, the drug Oberon, actively advertised via the Internet, is not approved for use in Russia.

"Oberon Rapid" belongs to the new generation of drugs and is able to effectively help in the protection of crops. However, a more powerful "weapon" requires careful attention and knowledge of how to use it - at least to the extent of this article.
